Ajay, Susi and Mira win 7 Awards at 2015 SOT meeting
Congratulations to Ajay, Susi and Mira who won 7 awards at the Society of Toxicology meeting in March 2015 at San Diego, CA.
Amrendra Ajay, PhD
- Won best paper of the year award from Molecular & Systems Biology Specialty Section for his published manuscript “A bioinformatics approach identifies STAT3 and Chk1 as upstream regulators of KIM-1 expression in the kidney following acute injury. JASN, 2014: 25(1):105-118”.
- Won the best abstract award from American Scientists of Indian Origin in America (ASIOA) specialty section. Dr. Ajay also won second place award from the Drug Discovery Specialty Section for his poster titled “SMOC2 mediates kidney fibrosis via activating fibroblasts”.
Susanne Ramm, PhD
- Won MB Research Award for Distinction in Practical In Vitro and Alternative Toxicology Methods from In vitro and Alternative Methods Specialty Section for her poster titled “Live cell high-content imaging to mechanistically classify kidney toxicity”. Dr. Ramm also won third place in the Renal Toxicology Award competition from Mechanisms Specialty Section for her poster.
Mira Pavkovic, PhD
- Won two travel awards from Clinical and Translational Toxicology Specialty Section and from Regulatory and Safety Evaluation Specialty Section to present her poster titled “Early Detection of Kidney Toxicity in Humans using Urinary microRNA-21, -200c and -423”.
